What Moves Your Boat?
Wycliffe Associates
Filled with an inexpressible and glorious joy, for you are receiving the end result of your faith, the salvation of your souls. 1 Peter 1:8
Memory, a young administrative officer in Namibia, travelled 12 hours by bus to serve as a MAST translator in Botswana—because she loves Jesus and the Word of God. Prior to participating in a MAST workshop, Memory read God’s Word in English. Now she helps to translate it into Chisubiya, her heart language. Her love of Jesus inspires her, and the Holy Spirit empowers her, as she contributes to MAST workshops in Africa, bringing her much joy.In sailing, a mast is a tall pole that holds the sails that catch the wind to move the boat. Working in MAST means that we are Mobile to Assist and to help provide Support for people to Translate the Bible into their heart languages—their native tongues—the language in which they dream, love, and pray.
Those of us who facilitate MAST workshops serve with God’s wind filling our sails, and we experience overwhelming joy. What power moves your life? Is it your love of Jesus and the power of the Holy Spirit? Do you experience the joy of the Lord?
Consider slowing down to stop and ask God, “Where do YOU want me to go? What do YOU want me to do?” Leave yourself open. Put your trust in HIM, and He will lead you to places you never thought you would go. The Holy Spirit will empower you to do things you never thought you would do. And you, too, will experience incredible joy.
Join Us in Prayer:
Father God, work in my life today. Show me where You want me to go and what You want me to do. Help me to follow You closer and to love You more. In the name of Jesus I pray. Amen.
