In an area too dangerous to mention in writing, Christians are under fire for their faith. Millions are living in a world of such uncertainty, such danger, it’s almost unfathomable for us...

  • Their homeland is a place where a simple journey from one village to another can be deadly.
  • They are harassed and persecuted by the authorities. Many believers live under surveillance; individuals have been threatened, detained—and worse. Some have been driven from their homes.
  • Churches have been destroyed. Christ-followers in some areas are forced to worship “underground,” out of view of hostile forces.
  • For many of our brothers and sisters, any expression of faith in Christ can mean arrest, torture, or even death.

Global persecution watchlists have a category for this country’s level of violence against Christians: “extreme.”

Yet through all of this, the cry of the Christians’ hearts is simply to know God’s Word—to translate the Scriptures into the language of their people, the language of their birth—the one language that their family and friends can truly, deeply understand...

They’re eager to finally truly, deeply grasp the life-transforming reality of God’s grace—the destiny-shaping power of God’s love.

A MISSION AGAINST ALL ODDS

One translation project leader in this area of the world recently went missing. Weeks passed without word of his whereabouts. The team in the area feared the worst...

  • Was he abducted?
  • Was he imprisoned and enduring torture?
  • Has he been murdered?

The project leader had gone on a mission to deliver translation files. The final files that were critically needed to complete a portion of the New Testament.

Crossing war zones and filing through checkpoints—he was forced to go radio silent. Of course, he could’ve turned around at any moment. He could abort the mission at any time.

But he knew he served a greater mission, giving his people the only hope they have for peace, comfort, and life: God’s Word!

I thank God that he recently made contact. He’s completed his mission and is currently in safe hiding.

But what if these dangerous journeys weren’t necessary to begin with?

With our Technology for National Translators (TNT), they’re not. And TNT will accelerate Bible translation efforts—especially in dangerous areas of the world—faster than ever before.

THE SOLUTION FOR BIBLE TRANSLATION IN PERSECUTED COUNTRIES: TNT!

Our TNT—Technology for National Translators—ensures the safety of the translators by allowing them to work under the radar of hostile authorities. Each TNT kit is customized based on the specific needs of a language group. That could include:

  • Durable laptop computers
  • Purpose-built Bible translation software
  • An online connection so users can collaborate and check translation accuracy
  • 24/7 support and an array of valuable Bible translation resources
  • Ability to store translation work safely in the cloud
  • Connection to other believers to pray and worship together

Each TNT Kit costs just $2,500, and each language group needs two of them.

IMPORTANT NEED: A REQUEST FROM THE FIELD

We have received a request from Christians whose lives are on the line every day. They long to experience God’s Word in their own heart language.

When they learned that technology now exists that would empower them to translate the Scriptures for their own people, they reached out to us, asking for help.

Despite religious oppression, despite persecution, and despite any risks, they want nothing more than to translate God’s Word and share it with their people. They know this is their country’s only hope.

While these believers, representing 6 language groups, have quietly assembled teams of dedicated brothers and sisters who are ready and willing—they need two tech kits for each language, customized to the unique high-pressure challenges of each local situation.

It’s a total need of $30,000.

We are asking God to move in hearts like yours to provide the $30,000 needed to immediately launch Bible translation for these 6 language groups.

On behalf of Christians living in a place of horrific persecution who have never known the comfort and strength of reading and absorbing God’s Word in their own heart language, please make a gift to equip them with the tools to translate the Scriptures. And please pray that through the power of His Word, God will transform an entire region!
