Doesn’t the Bible already exist in Spanish? This is a question we hear quite frequently regarding Bible translation efforts in Mexico. The answer is yes, it does exist. But what many people don’t realize is there are actually numerous indigenous languages in that country. And while these language groups may know some Spanish, many of them don’t have a word of the Scriptures in the language of their hearts.
That’s why your continued support is vital. Your partnership is opening doors for the Scriptures to finally come alive for those who are still Bibleless through MAST translation workshops, training, and other important resources.
Recently, 22 national translators for six indigenous language groups came together for a two-week MAST event, where they completed the translation of numerous books from the New Testament. One language team finished the entire books of Mark and 1 Timothy, and some are eagerly continuing on with their translation work and even starting on the Old Testament.
On their behalf, thank you for supporting and helping their people better understand all that God’s Word holds for them!
