Artists needed for Bible Pictures Project

Calling all artists, graphic designers, and illustrators! Wycliffe Associates needs people with artistic abilities to help us serve national Bible translators. And if you are not an artist yourself, would you please share this message with artists you know?

Artistic skills are incredibly valuable as we work to provide new translation tools and visual explanations of Bible terms and concepts. Many cultures do not understand Bible terms that don’t exist in their language.

To better serve these communities, we are creating graphics for key biblical terms. These illustrations will enable translators to discern how to accurately translate the Bible into their own languages.

You can use your preferred art medium (drawing, painting, graphic design, and more) to create images under a Creative Commons Share-Alike license that allows churches the freedom to use and distribute these Bible translation resources.

This is an ongoing project with graphics needed for thousands of terms. We are looking for volunteers to give 5-8 hours of service per week, and you may work from home!

And you are especially invited to join us in Orlando from February 26th through March 2nd for optional training. This training is not mandatory to join the project, but it will be a fun time of learning and interacting with our team!

If you or someone you know is interested in learning more about this exciting volunteer opportunity, please contact Jennifer Cunneen at 1-800-THE WORD (843-9673) or email us. Jennifer will provide you with additional details.

Thank you for praying and sharing this program within your circles of influence to help us connect with people interested in serving advancing Bible translation!
