I love writing to you. When I prepare, I first go to my Bible, open its pages, and read.
As I read I think of you, and I pray for you. I ask the Lord Jesus to direct our thoughts and prayers first to Him. He is our Father. He loves us deeply. He desires that we know Him and are strengthened with His power through His Spirit.
Together, you and I know Him and are filled with the love of Christ—yes, Christ dwells in our hearts through faith. We know this because we open our Bibles and read and understand—our faith in and love for Jesus Christ and Father God grows.
Just 21 months ago, a MAST event was held that included a marginalized language group, the Lopit, from South Sudan. The simple passion and urgency of the national Bible translators was evident to all. They were consistently working 14 hour days to get incredible amounts of work done. They have a desire to get scripture into their mother tongue, so that everyone in their community can understand the love of God. Their heartfelt desire is to put the physical Word of God into the hands of their loved ones—into the hands of their friends. They yearn for their community of faith to read and understand and be rooted and established in the love of Christ.
At the completion of the MAST training, they returned home. The translators continued their work with just a few computer tablets and solar panels to help them do their translation work.
Please pray with me for the hundreds of Bible translators around the world, who right now are diligently working at translating scripture into their own languages for their own people.
Let’s pray that when books of the Bible, New Testaments, even entire Bibles are translated into the people’s own language, they can be printed. Wycliffe Associates’ Print On Demand (POD) equipment and training are critically needed where Bible translation is in progress.
And let’s pray in thanksgiving that the Lopit New Testament—a complete and accurate translation—will be printed using POD equipment and dedicated by the Lopit churches next month. Won’t that be a wonderful event? And a wonderful answer to the heartfelt prayer of the Lopit Bible translation team.
Pray also that each Lopit believer who receives the new scripture translation will open, read, and be filled with the love of the Father and strengthened by the power of His Holy Spirit.

My dear prayer partners, a Bible in every language is our vision. But not just the translation. Wycliffe Associates provides the POD system so that every translation of scripture will be printed and taken back to the translators’ home villages. With POD, Bibles are quickly placed in the hands of pastors, teachers, and families so they too can read and understand God’s precious words of grace and love and forgiveness.
Pray that the Word of God, printed on the POD systems, will be used by believers to grow in their faith and share it with their neighbors and friends.

Please pray with me that Wycliffe Associates, through prayer and gifts, will be able to provide Print On Demand systems to every location where Bible translators are diligently doing the hard work of translating God’s precious Word into their own languages.
