And will eventually put us out of a job . . . we hope!

With your support, you are speeding up Bible translation and raising up disciples.

It turns out that there is much more to the MAST translation method than just accelerating Bible translation. As mother-tongue translators learn the innovative method and begin to translate God’s Word in their heart languages, many in their communities are coming to Christ. And leaders are being born.

Recently, we held a MAST training event for the Kihavu, Kinyanga, and Kinyabwisha language groups of Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC). However, the workshop was not led by Wycliffe Associates or one of our translation partners. Instead training was administered by a national translator from the DRC. All three teams completed their New Testament in just four months, and as of this writing they are about halfway through the Old Testament. Their hope is to present the completed Bible to their churches this Christmas.

Whenever we go into an area and begin working with national churches, it is our goal to train them so effectively, they can eventually take the proverbial baton and put us out of a job. It will mean that God’s translated Word is going into all the world. And what’s better than that?

Why is Bible translation delayed? Here's the answer...
